Manufacturer Plans Tech Center in Dayton Region

Midmark Corp. is building a new technology center in Darke County.

Midmark Corp. is building a new technology center in Darke County.

The Dayton-based medical equipment manufacturer announced the new center would be built on its Versailles campus, which would be a new lab for product and technology development. The company would not immediately disclose the investment on the project, expected to break ground in early 2018.

“We are pleased to be growing the organization and enthusiastic for the future of Midmark," said John Baumann, president and CEO of Midmark. "Our decision to invest in this technology center will accelerate innovation at Midmark, support our culture, and help us deliver our strategic promise to enrich the point of care experience.”

Midmark is introducing a dozen new products this year with an eye on making workflow easier for doctors. With that in mind, they are eyeing 105 new hires this year, including 66 in the Dayton and Versailles facilities, where Midmark has 841 employees amid 1,700 overall.
