Ansonia
With a population 1,145, the village of Ansonia is just 7.8 miles to the north of Greenville on State Route 118. Its major employers are Ansonia Lumber Co., Lambert Corp., which manufactures lawn sweepers, Master Industries Inc., which produces injection molded plastic parts, Shook Tool, Inc., manufacturer of plastic molds and die cast dies, and Timmerman Trusses northwest of town.
Other staff include a full-time police department and a volunteer fire department. Ansonia has an elementary, junior high and high school. There are also four Protestant churches in the village.

Gettysburg
Adams Township
Gettysburg, Ohio is a small community with a population of 558 residents located just 10 miles east of Greenville on state route 36. Its major industrial employers are Norcold Corp. which manufactures refrigeration components and Petersime Incubators Co., which manufactures poultry incubator and brood units.
Nearby are Bears Mill, a restored grist mill, and Darke County Wildlife areas for hunting and fishing. In June, Gettysburg holds its annual Community Festival. The Gettysburg elementary school is part of the Greenville school system.
New Madsion
Harrison & Butler Township
New Madison is a picturesque community about 10 miles south of Greenvile on St. Rt. 121. It is very proud of its newly constructed library as well as its elementary school, junior high, and high school.
New Madison's major industrial employers are Ludy Greenhouse Mfg. which produces greenhouses and greenhouse parts, and Florida Production Engineering (FPE), which specialized in plastic injection molding and painting for the automotive industry. Another major business is JA Flaig Lumber Company, a full service lumber company since 1888.
Bradford
Adams Township
Once a center of railroad activity, Bradford is located on the Darke-Miami County line, 12 miles east of Greenville just north of St. Rt. 36. Major businesses in Bradford are Production Paint Finishers, an industrial material painting company, Boscott Metals, and Poeppelman Sand & Gravel. North of Bradford are private fishing, swimming and camping lakes. Bradford has a public library, and is famous for its Pumpkin Show in the fall.
In 1996, Bradford established an Enterprise Zone to facilitate industrial development in the village.
Pitsburg, population 392, located southeast of Greenville on Alt. St. 49. Pitsburg is in Monroe township.
New Weston, north of Greenville, is located 6 miles north of Greenville, west of St. Rt. 118 on St. Rt. 705, in Allen township. This community of 135 people is very proud of its Veteran's Memorial and Community Days Celebration.
Rossburg is 12 miles north of Greenville on St. Rt. 118 in Allen township, population 224. It is famous for the great Eldora Speedway and its exciting auto races. A community event is the June Fireman's Social. It is located close to the Wabash Conservancy District Lake. Industries located here are Waymire Utility Barns and Cells Correctional Equipment.
Wayne Lakes, in Neave township, is a unique community built on land that was reclaimed after American Aggregates finished mining gravel from the area. The resulting lakes and wooded area provide homesites for 713 residents. At an entrance to Wayne Lakes is the Ft. Jefferson Memorial Park on St. Rt. 121 south. It memorializes the old fort that once stood there.
Hollansburg is a small community located in Harrison Township on county roads 46, 10 and 17. Nearby in Glen Karn is King of Sports Mill which produces dog food. Just to the east of Hollansburg is Downing Fruit Farm which is a sixth generation family farm that offers a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. There is a barn where you may select and purchase produce grown on the farm.
Osgood, in Patterson Township, has a population of 255. It is located at the intersection of St. Rts. 705 and 716. Osgood has its own volunteer fire department and rescue squad. They have a beautiful public park with tennis courts, a volleyball court, playground, and a ball diamond. Businesses there include Dynamic Weld Corp. and Winner Sons Inc., meat processors.
