DARKE COUNTY - October gives cause for celebration of economic growth in the community as Darke County Economic Development’s Partnering for Progress (P4P) initiative hits the five-year mark.

A collaborative economic development effort providing comprehensive support to the Darke County business community, P4P consists of a diverse group of public and private entities and individuals from across the county.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been part of something so collaborative in my entire life,” stated Director of Economic Development Marc Saluk, as he addressed attendees at Wednesday night’s P4P mixer held at the Bistro on Broadway.

According to Saluk, in just five short years P4P has assisted companies in retaining and creating over 1,500 manufacturing positions, representing almost $40 million of payroll annually for the Darke County community. In addition, the initiative has assisted companies in carrying out projects representing more than $100 million in local spending and secured more than $25 million in project incentives to help local growth.
